Introducing Judas, a Holocaust Memoir
At Modern Mitzvah, we're known for celebrating Jewish life through joyful, colorful artwork. Tomorrow, we're sharing something very different—something solemn, deeply personal, and profoundly important to our family's history.
We are honored to announce the release of Judas, the true Holocaust survival story of our relatives, the Judas family.
Written by Jason Lese, cousin of Modern Mitzvah founder Laura Bercovich, Judas is a powerful family memoir that follows a Jewish family living in Nazi Germany, their struggle for survival, and the unlikely German police officer who helped save them.
Modern Mitzvah had the privilege of designing this book—a project that has been somber but deeply meaningful. In a time when remembrance feels more urgent than ever, we are humbled to help bring this story into the world.
All proceeds from the sale of Judas will be donated to Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center.
We invite you to read this piece of our family’s history and join us in supporting a cause dedicated to memory, truth, and education.
Thank you, as always, for supporting our work and our family. May this story strengthen our collective commitment to remembrance and to one another.
With love and gratitude,
Laura & the Modern Mitzvah family
